Frequently Asked Questions

Do you ship plants?
We don’t ship or deliver for retail customers at this time. If you want to order native plants online, check out Izel Native Plants or Gardens for Wildlife. They offer a selection of our plants. If you want to place an order and pick up the plants, you can call or email us and we will get your order ready for you.
Do you sell Boxwood or Evergreen trees?
We do not. BUT, we do have a great native alternative to boxwood called Inkberry (Ilex glabra), and a variety of other shrubs that can be used along a border or for screening.
We only grow a handful of small, deciduous trees, as we mainly focus on shrubs and perennials.
Do you sell Vegetables?
We do not grow or sell any vegetables or vegetable starts.
Do you sell Seeds?
We do not sell any seeds, we only sell shrubs and perennials in containers.
Do you sell Soil or Mulch?
We do not sell any gardening supplies other than the plants we grow here at the nursery.
I don’t see this plant on your list, can you order it for me?
We do not special order any plants, we only sell what we grow and what we have on our list.
Do you offer any discounts?
We do not mark down any of our plants or give deals on buying multiple plants. The price listed will always be what you pay. We do, however, run specials occasionally and you can keep up with those by checking our Facebook page or calling our office.
Will you give me a plant consultation?
We are happy to hear about your garden vision and give suggestions, but we do not do any on-site consultations. We can give you contact information of firms that we work with that can help you with your landscape.
Can I preorder plants?
We do not offer preorders for retail before inventory is available. You can select plants from what is available and schedule a curbside pickup, but we won’t hold plants for more than 1 week in advance.
Do you use neonicotinoids or other pesticides on your plants?
We do not use any neonicotinoids, ever. We do use some biological and natural pesticides such as neem oil and pyrethrin to deal with occasional insect and fungal issues. We believe in letting the beneficial insects use our plants even if that means taking the plants off our availability while they grow new vegetation.
